First time setup

The next step is to configure your Domotz Agent. Simply click on the Domotz package/app in the admin interface of  your Synology NAS to start the Domotz Agent for the first time. What you have to click on to open the Domotz Agent will differ between manufacturers, but there might be a specific button you have to click on as per the the below screenshot.

At this point, you’ll be asked to create an account. Simply click on New user? Sign up for free>> to get started and follow the on-screen instructions to create your account.

Once you’ve created your account, the Domotz Agent will proceed to scanning your network for devices. This will take anything from a few minutes up to 15 minutes depending on how many devices you have on your network.

This also means that it’ll take some time before all of your devices appears in the Domotz App on your smartphone or tablet. Once the scan has finished, click/tap Done to continue the to the Domotz Agent web UI.

To access the web UI of your Domotz Agent you can also go to the IP address of your NAS, but change the port to 3000. I.e. if your NAS lives on change it to to access the Domotz Agent web UI.
