Thousands of integrations with your existing systems, software and devices
Domotz vs. Liongard. Domotz vs. Datto. Domotz vs. Meraki…The list continues!
Firstly, we often get asked about various tools on the market and if they are a replacement for Domotz. I’ve seen threads popping up over the last couple of months on Domotz vs. Datto as well as Domotz vs. Liongard, so thought it would be worthwhile to explain our integrations. In summary, this post will give you a good overview of the tools that Domotz works well with. Domotz is an integrated network management system meaning we have a lot of integrations, in fact, thousands of them. Furthermore, brands you love like Liongard, Cloud Radial, Hudu, IT Glue, Meraki, Crestron, etc. are our friends, not our competitors.
Domotz is meant to help you achieve automation and efficiency, and one of the ways we do this is through integrating network management system with the most popular hardware and software tools you commonly use.
Software – Integrated Network Management System
Firstly, Domotz integrates with your PSA tools to increase your troubleshooting capacity, speed, and diligence. We do not compete with any PSA tools on the market, Domotz instead is very complementary to these systems. Furthermore, you can use the alerts and device up/down and network up/down events to generate tickets in your PSA tool of choice.
Our PSA tool integrations:
- Connectwise Manage
- Datto Autotask
- Halo PSA
- Kaseya BMS
- Syncro
- Freshservice
- Freshdesk
- Q360
- RepairShopr
- ServiceNow
- Squadcast
- Zendesk
Domotz and RMM integrations
Although we do not currently have any integrations with RMM tools, we do not compete with RMMs anyways.
RMMs primarily have features that focus on workstations (i.e. computers). An RMM is an essential tool for an MSP, but nowadays more MSPs are adopting a Network Monitoring System (NMS) like Domotz alongside their RMM.
RMMs do workstations well, and although some tout as a network monitoring system, most of the features do not quite provide what an MSP needs.
Some RMMS do a little SNMP and device discovery, but the SNMP features found in software like Domotz are much more in-depth as well as automated. Additionally, the device discovery mechanisms on Domotz can identify more devices with more thorough details. Moreover, to identify and categorize devices we use all the possible information we can collect from the network. How do we do this? Firstly, wtarting from the MAC address, Domotz enriches the information about devices using several other protocols (UPnP, mDNS, Bonjour, NetBIOS, etc). Secondly, then we use a proprietary machine-learning algorithm that based on these inputs tries to identify the device, by specifying the “Type”, and “Category” as well as in some cases the real vendor and model.
We don’t compete with documentation platforms, instead we love them! Domotz really adds value to your documentation system because, as illustrated in the point above, we have a very powerful and robust mechanism for discovering and identifying devices. We then send all that information directly to your documentation platform. Furthermore, using Domotz for device identification for your documentation system, really helps you get comprehensive and fully accurate details of what’s on your networks.
Our documentation platform integrations:
- CloudRadial
- D-Tools
- Hudu
- IT Glue
- IT Portal
- Liongard
There are many tools you may use as a service provider for productivity. This is why we’ve also built integrations with many of your productivity tools for messaging, collaboration, SSO, and more. The purpose of these integrations is to help you increase the security of your systems, especially in the case of SSO as well as action issues faster. For example; our integration with Slack enables your team to action critical network issues faster.

Hardware – Integrated Network Management System
Domotz and ALL connected devices
Domotz can identify and monitor all devices regardless of brand or manufacturer. The integrations page on our website details brands for which we perform advanced monitoring.
For instance, we don’t have (yet) a specific driver for Palo Alto networking devices, however, thanks to their compliance with the RFC 4188, we can map every single device plugged into their network interface ports.
Although we’ve decided not to list out every single device on the planet we integrate with, we do work with all of them.
Domotz and network switches, firewalls, and access points
Our software includes much deeper integration with many firewalls, access points, and network switches. While some of these brands have their own management features, the benefit of choosing Domotz is the range of devices we support. These integrations, provide you access to a host of exciting and comprehensive features for the most popular brands of network infrastructure equipment. You can use the system, ultimately, without being tied down to a hardware manufacturer’s specific app or service.
Feature snapshot:
- Firstly, automatically mapping the individual devices connected to your network switches
- Access hassle-free monitoring of Wi-Fi access points, including all the Wi-Fi-connected clients

Custom Integrations:
Here are examples of the ways that you can use our Custom Integration Drivers to build your own integrations.
- Firstly, monitor a database to see more insightful information.
- Trigger alerts when database details are out of bounds from known target values.
- For instance, get server usage or server status information
- Additionally, check the status of SSL certificates
- Custom drivers can also enable you to interrogate the smart displays that are on the network. Moreover, you can look at things like what inputs are tuned to, what’s the volume level, and have a button that may trigger a change in those devices.
- Get information about a custom IoT device, for example, interrogate network-based devices and then take action. For instance, reset the gateways, implementing power cycling systems, and more.
