Domotz Partners with Crestron in the AV Residential Space

2 min

We recently announced a very important new strategic partnership with Crestron. Crestron builds technology that integrates technology. Their automation and control solutions for homes lets people control entire environments with the push of a button, integrating systems such as AV, lighting, shading, security, BMS and HVAC to provide greater comfort, convenience and security. All of our products are designed and built to work together as a complete system, enabling you to monitor, manage and control everything from one platform.

Domotz will be integrating into Crestron’s Smart Home automation systems to help remotely monitor their customers’ systems and reduce costs and improve efficiencies. The Domotz and Crestron solution includes the Domotz Pro Mobile app, Domotz Cloud, and Domotz Network Agent. It enables integrators to remotely: view all Crestron and third-party devices live on the network; monitor network performance in real-time; receive customizable alerts and reports; detect and troubleshoot network and IP device problems in real-time and preemptively resolve them; power devices on/off or reboot; make programming and configuration changes; and perform network diagnostics, maintenance and upgrades.

“The ability to stay on top of their clients’ systems, and diagnose issues and preemptively resolve them without having to open complicated VPNs or ports or roll trucks, is a game-changer for our residential dealers. It makes the Domotz Box a must-have for every project,” said John Clancy, vice president, residential at Crestron.  “This unique partnership also creates new sales opportunities for our dealers, with the ability to offer a more robust and deeply integrated solution than ever before. We couldn’t be more excited about it.”

Domotz Pro helps integrators remotely.  For example you can view all Crestron and third-party devices live on the network; monitor network performance in real-time; receive customizable alerts and reports; detect and troubleshoot network and IP device problems in real-time and preemptively resolve them; power devices on/off or reboot; make programming and configuration changes; and perform network diagnostics, maintenance and upgrades.

You can contact your local Crestron Rep for more information on the partnership and purchase options.  To learn more about the new partnership please visit The Crestron Announcment.

Introducing Unified Alerts: A More Consistent, Visible, and Scalable Approach to Alerting

3 minAlerting in distributed IT environments is hard to keep consistent. Different alert types behave differently, configuration is fragmented, and visibility into coverage gets murky as you scale. Unified Alerting is a new framework in Domotz built to fix that — bringing alert rules, severity, history, and device profile management into one consistent system. It is now available as an opt-in beta for existing customers and on by default for new users. Here is what is changing and how to get started.
